Over the last few months I’ve been asked several questions about Reiki – this list is not exhaustive but covers some of the more common questions and will be added to over time.
The practitioner always sits behind the client’s head, putting their hands either side of the head, before periodically placing the hands on the head before moving to the neck, shoulders and finally finishing by gently holding the feet.
Clients often describes feeling a warmth over the areas where the hands are held (similar to the gentle heat of the sun), they feel relaxed, seeing pictures or gentle swirling colours or feeling emotionally ‘released’ like they’re floating.
No, not at all! First of all, you don’t need to believe in anything in particular to enjoy and get all the benefits of Reiki from someone who channels it. If you book a session, you book it for a reason. That reason is good enough!
You can be your own judge; when you experience Reiki you’ll believe in it.” Simple as that!
Even one single Reiki session can make a difference; however a course of regular treatments may be more effective. These may be weekly, fortnightly or less often but that’s down to you. I do not hard sell you can have as many sessions as you like. However please note I will only ever do a maximum of 1 session per week.
Absolutely yes! Reiki does not take the place of conventional medicine. Always consult a GP for an acute or infectious condition, and problems of urgent concern.
Yes children are particularly receptive of the Reiki energies shared. Age is not a barrier when receiving Reiki; however children will need to be able to sit still for the session. I can do the session whilst your child is watching a favourite DVD.
A parental consent must be completed prior to the first session.
Absolutely, Reiki can do no harm. Extra care is taken for your comfort and your baby will love the Reiki energies.
This is not something I currently offer, however, please send me a request and I will pass it through the correct practitioner in your area.
